How WageOra is funded

Advertising

We show adverts on eleven pages at the moment: our four salary profiles, the Salary Calculator and the Budget Calculator, the guide to reading your payslip, How WageOra Works, Sources, and the two pay decision guides written for jobseekers and for employers. These are our longer pages, and each one carries a single advert.

We do not show adverts on this page, the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, the Affiliate Disclosure, the Accessibility Statement, the Contact page, search results or error pages. Shorter pages elsewhere on the site carry no adverts either, and if that changes we will update this page.

Eligible pages may contain Google AdSense adverts. What a visitor sees depends on Google's advertising systems and their privacy and consent choices.

How advertising is chosen

WageOra does not use the figures you enter into a calculator to decide which ads you see, and it does not intentionally send those calculator values to Google for ad selection. Google uses its own advertising systems and your applicable privacy and consent choices. See Privacy Policy for more detail on how advertising works on WageOra.

Analytics

Analytics isn't used to make money on WageOra, and isn't part of how the site is funded. WageOra's consent controlled Google Analytics 4 integration, delivered only through Google Tag Manager, requires your active choice before anything runs. See the Privacy Policy's "Analytics" section for exactly what it does. Google and authorised advertising partners may separately process the technical information and cookies described in the Privacy Policy's advertising section, subject to applicable consent requirements.

Affiliate links

No affiliate programme is currently active on WageOra, and WageOra doesn't sell access to its calculators.

WageOra may introduce contextual affiliate links in future (see Affiliate Disclosure) to help fund ongoing development and hosting. Affiliate programmes are separate from AdSense advertising. If affiliate links are introduced, they will be clearly identified where they appear, WageOra may receive a commission after a qualifying action or purchase, and affiliate relationships will not alter calculator results.

What stays independent

• Advertising, and any future affiliate relationship, will never change what a calculator tells you, the official source figures WageOra displays, or WageOra's explanation of a result.
• The financial figures you enter into a calculator are not sold or shared — see Privacy Policy for detail on how calculator inputs are handled.
• Any future salary or pay data would never be ranked or ordered for payment without that being explicitly disclosed.
