Terms of Use
The basis on which WageOra is provided.
Last updated: 2026-08-30
1. What WageOra provides
WageOra provides free UK pay and salary calculators and general information about pay, tax and money. It's provided for general informational purposes. Nothing on WageOra is personalised financial, tax or legal advice, and WageOra is not a substitute for professional advice specific to your circumstances.
2. Estimates and official source figures
WageOra's calculators produce estimates, based on the information you enter and WageOra's current tax-year configuration. They are annual estimates, not a reproduction of a specific payslip, and results can differ from your actual pay for the reasons explained on How WageOra Works.
Some figures on WageOra are not WageOra's own estimates. Where a page shows a salary figure from the Office for National Statistics, or an NHS pay scale, that figure is published directly by the official source, not calculated by WageOra. WageOra checks and displays these figures accurately, and explains clearly where a figure isn't currently available, rather than estimating one.
3. Important decisions
If a figure from WageOra will affect an important financial, tax, employment or other decision, check the latest information from the relevant official source and, where appropriate, compare it with your payslip or information from your employer or provider. Consider qualified professional advice where appropriate.
4. Using WageOra
You can use WageOra's calculators for your own personal or work purposes, link to WageOra, and quote reasonable extracts where that's lawful, for example for research or comment.
Please don't republish a substantial part of the site without permission, present WageOra's original content as your own, or use automated means to access or extract content in a way that disrupts the service or places an unreasonable load on it.
5. Availability
WageOra is provided on an "as available" basis. It may be changed, updated, suspended, or have features removed at any time, and WageOra doesn't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the original content, design and materials created specifically for WageOra, including the WageOra name, branding, and the site's original text, design and code, are owned by Dev Sooriyar, the creator of WageOra. Third-party content and data used by WageOra, such as ONS or NHS figures, remain subject to their own ownership and licence terms. This doesn't affect your right to lawfully quote or cite WageOra with proper attribution, or any other right you have under applicable law.
7. External links
WageOra links to external sources, including GOV.UK and gov.scot pages used to verify tax figures. WageOra doesn't control and isn't responsible for the content or availability of external sites.
8. Responsibility and liability
WageOra's calculators produce estimates, and its general information pages explain how UK pay and tax generally work. Neither is a guaranteed personalised outcome. WageOra cannot promise that a result will match every payslip, employer offer or individual circumstance, because actual pay depends on things WageOra doesn't know, such as your specific tax code, pension scheme, or payroll timing. Where accuracy matters, check the figures against your payslip, employer, provider, or a qualified professional (see "Important decisions" above).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or right that the law does not allow to be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights, including any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when WageOra changes or when the wording needs to be corrected. The latest version and its update date will be published on this page.
10. Contact
