Tax-Year Updates
How WageOra keeps its UK tax calculations current, and what "current" means at any given time.
Current configuration
WageOra is currently configured for the 2026/27 UK tax year, covering 6 April 2026to 5 April 2027. This configuration was last verified against primary sources on 2026-08-21(configuration version 1.0.0). See Sources for the specific pages checked.
One central configuration
Every WageOra calculator reads Income Tax, National Insurance, student loan, Postgraduate Loan and employer National Insurance figures from a single, versioned tax-year configuration. No calculator stores its own copy of a rate or threshold — this is deliberate, so a figure can never drift between tools. See our How WageOra Works page for how this is structured.
How WageOra reviews its figures
WageOra reviews its tax calculations when official government rules are published or updated — for example following a UK Budget, Scottish Budget, or other formal rate announcement from GOV.UK, HMRC, or the Scottish Government. Changes are made once official rules are confirmed, not in anticipation of proposals.
WageOra does not promise real-time or instant updates. There may be a gap between an official announcement and WageOra's configuration being reviewed and updated.
What this means for you
If you're using WageOra outside the dates shown above, check that a newer tax-year configuration has been published before relying on the result. Support for browsing previous or upcoming tax years separately may be added later; WageOra currently calculates for the configured current tax year only.
